Auntie Bee's Ghong Nham Paa
Kinnalone of Auntie Bee's Kitchen shares with us a signature staple recipe in her house.
"My all time favorite and easy recipe is with our Ma Der Ma Der Sauce and we use it to make Ghong Nham Paa, which is kind of like a Lao shrimp ceviche."
Ghong Nham PaaIngredients:
- 1 lb Raw Shrimp, peeled deveined, and butterflied
- 1-2 limes
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 1 cup Ma Der Ma Der Sauce
- Optional toppings: red onion, cabbage, mint, and cilantro
First you butterfly and devein your shrimp and nicely put it on a serving dish. Squeeze some lime on top of the raw shrimp and put it in the fridge to chill. Get a piece of peeled ginger and add it to the blender with about a cup of our Ma Der Ma Der Sauce and blend till ginger is blended. Take out shrimp from the fridge and pour mixture on top. Add red onions, cabbage, mint, and cilantro to top and enjoy! Super easy and delicious.
